Ro-Jaws
Ro-Jaws is a foul-mouthed, wisecracking sewer robot who appeared in the British anthology comic 2000 AD, serving as one of the co-hosts of the Ro-Busters disaster-relief unit alongside Hammerstein, tackling dangerous missions deemed too risky for humans.
Few characters from the British comics explosion of the late 1970s have endured quite like Ro-Jaws, who burst onto the scene in 1978's 2000 AD and Starlord #86, brought to life by writer John Howard and the incomparable Brian Bolland at the height of the Bronze Age. Published by Fleetway and rooted in the anarchic, satirical spirit that made 2000 AD a cultural phenomenon, Ro-Jaws has kept remarkable company over 45 years β sharing pages with fan favourites like Hammerstein, Joe Pineapples, Mek-Quake, Mongrol, and Blackblood across 134 catalogued appearances. With three key issues to their name and a publishing run stretching all the way to 2023, this is a character whose place in British comics history is anything but scrap-heap material β a genuine Fleetway icon well worth tracking down.

Trivia
- Ro-Jaws was among the key characters who carried Ro-Busters through the turbulent merger of Starlord into 2000 AD, allowing the strip to outlive the very magazine that originally gave it a home.comicvine.gamespot.com
