Prog 781 of 2000 AD arrives with a fiery flourish, its cover by Kevin Walker dominated by a crowd of heavily armored and battle-worn robotic and alien warriors surging forward against a backdrop of roiling orange flame — from a massive red-armored bruiser at center to a sinister cloaked figure at left, a glowing-eyed creature at the foreground, and a boxy yellow-faced robot to the right, the tagline "Hot Metal! The Warriors Are Cookin'" feels entirely earned. Inside, Garth Ennis continues "Almighty Dredd" with Ian Gibson handling art, inks, and colors, a creative combination that promises plenty of personality and punch.
