2000 AD #783

Prog 783 of 2000 AD arrives in May 1992 with a cover by Simon Coleby that frames Judge Dredd looming large over a foreground of oversized, softly lit roses — a striking contrast between the Judge's armoured bulk and levelled firearm against that bed of blooms. The headline "Guns and Roses! Dredd Goes Heavy Petal" sets a wry tone that the anthology does so well, promising Garth Ennis and Dillon's "A Magic Place, Part 1" inside. It's a fine slice of British comics at full throttle, and there's even a chance to win Tharg's head in a special combo offer this prog.
