2000 AD #1962

Prog 1962 of Britain's beloved weekly anthology promises "5 Zarjaz Stories Inside!" and kicks things off with a cover by Clint Langley that's hard to look away from — a massive, battle-worn mech looms forward through crackling energy, its glowing blue eye and red chest light blazing with menace as one enormous mechanical fist rears back mid-swing. The sheer weight and detail Langley brings to that hulking iron figure makes it feel like it could step right off the page. With Michael Carroll and Paul Marshall delivering "Street Cred" among the week's offerings in 2016, this prog looks like a fine slice of what 2000 AD does best.
