Ravage
Ravage is a Decepticon warrior who arrived on Earth aboard the Nemesis alongside Soundwave and the other Decepticons, disguising himself as a microcassette stored within Soundwave's chest compartment. A ferocious stealth operative, he deploys in robotic jaguar form to stalk and spy on enemies.
Few characters can claim to have been there from the very beginning, but Ravage was present in the landmark first issue of Marvel's The Transformers in 1984 β a Bronze Age debut crafted by Bill Mantlo, Ralph Macchio, and Frank Springer that launched one of comics' most beloved science-fiction franchises. Sharing those early pages with titans like Optimus Prime, Megatron, Soundwave, and Starscream, Ravage has kept extraordinary company across a saga that has stretched an remarkable four decades, from the Reagan era all the way to 2025. With 50 catalog appearances spanning The Transformers and the crossover spectacle of G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers, plus two collector-recognized key issues to their name, this is a character whose longevity speaks for itself. For any fan who loves the Transformers mythology at its most foundational, Ravage is a name worth knowing.
