Magus

The Magus is the tyrannical father of the New Mutant Warlock and ruler of the alien Technarchy, a race of mechanical beings who absorb life-force through the transmode virus. He pursued his son to Earth, making him a cosmic-level threat to both the New Mutants and the wider Marvel universe.

Born from Jim Starlin's imagination in the pages of Marvel Graphic Novel #1 in 1982, Magus is a Bronze Age Marvel creation whose dark presence has rippled through the publisher's cosmos for over four decades. This X-Men-affiliated figure has kept extraordinary company across the years — sharing adventures with the likes of Warlock, Wolfsbane, Rahne Sinclair, Captain Marvel, and Ororo Munroe — and has left their mark across titles including Captain Marvel, Warlock, and The New Mutants.
