Dusk
Cassie St. Commons is one of four teenagers who took on identities originally created by Spider-Man, becoming Dusk — a dark, stealth-oriented hero who joined Ricochet, Hornet, and Prodigy as the Slingers.
Born from the late-nineties Marvel renaissance, Dusk made their striking entrance in Slingers #0 (1998), courtesy of creators Joseph Harris and Adam Pollina — a debut that announced a bold new voice in the Modern Age. The Slingers series brought Dusk into orbit alongside a memorable cast including Ricochet, Hornet, and the characters behind names like Cassie St. Commons and Johnny Gallo, with none other than Spider-Man himself woven through their world. What makes Dusk genuinely worth seeking out is that staying power — a character born in 1998 who still turns up across titles like Amazing Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man: Beyond well into the 2020s is one that Marvel clearly hasn't finished with. For collectors who love discovering a shadowy figure with real history behind them, Dusk is a rewarding dig.
