The final issue of Marvel's 1999 teen-hero series goes out swinging, with the cover by ChrisCross staging a dramatic confrontation as the four Slingers — Ricochet, Hornet, Dusk, and Prodigy — brace themselves against a looming, horned demonic figure flanked by a skull, all framed by sweeping red curtains. The tagline "Last Stand — At Devil's Gate" sets a suitably high-stakes tone for this concluding chapter of the "Raising Hell's Children" arc. It's a fittingly intense send-off for one of Marvel's most underappreciated ensemble books of the late '90s.
