Slingers

In the wake of the Spider-Man "Identity Crisis" storyline, Marvel launched this short-lived 1998 series from writer Joseph Harris and artist Adam Pollina. The premise follows four of Spider-Man's former costumed identities—Hornet, Dusk, Prodigy, and Ricochet—who are brought together by a mysterious benefactor to form a new superhero team called the Slingers. Though it only ran for a single issue, the series explored the consequences of Peter Parker's discarded aliases taking on a life of their own.
