The Slingers face a massive, monstrous creature — its enormous rocky fists dominating the foreground — while the young team battles desperately across the cover, with fiery explosions lighting up the chaos and an armored figure wielding blades leaping through the fray. The tagline "Night of the Living Billboard!" promises something wonderfully strange at the heart of this September 1999 installment, and the cover pencils by ChrisCross (inked by Rob Stull) deliver a genuinely kinetic, wall-to-wall showdown. If you've been following Marvel's scrappy teen superhero squad, this tenth issue looks like a wild escalation of everything the series does best.
