Blizzard
Donnie Gill inherited the cold-generating battlesuit originally worn by the first Blizzard, Jackson Weele, and was recruited by Hammer Industries to serve as a professional mercenary. Outfitted with cryogenic technology that projects intense cold and ice, he clashed repeatedly with Iron Man.
Bursting onto the scene in Iron Man #239 in 1989, Blizzard is a Copper Age Marvel villain with a chill that's left a lasting mark across nearly four decades of comics. Affiliated with both A.I.M. and the notorious Batroc's Brigade, this frosty antagonist has kept some seriously heavy-hitting company β sharing pages with Iron Man, Captain America, and Tony Stark himself β which tells you everything about the caliber of threats Blizzard is built to represent. Most at home in the pages of Thunderbolts and New Thunderbolts, Blizzard carved out a niche in Marvel's morally complicated corner of the universe, where villains and antiheroes blur together in the best possible way. With a key issue to their name and appearances stretching all the way to 2026, this is a character who rewards the dedicated collector willing to dig into Marvel's rich, layered underworld.
