“Rush”

Two towering adversaries — a massive blue-skinned figure with glowing yellow eyes and a purple-and-gold masked villain — loom over the cover of Thunderbolts #102, while two smaller heroes in red-and-blue costumes struggle defiantly in the grip between them. Tom Grummett and Gary Erskine deliver a cover that immediately telegraphs the scale of the threat facing this team, with the title's "Justice, Like Lightning…" tagline adding a sharp sense of moral urgency. Writer Fabian Nicieza's "Rush" promises plenty of tension in this 2006 Marvel chapter of the Thunderbolts saga.
