Atalanta
Atalanta is a member of the Pantheon, a secretive organization of super-powered individuals descended from the Greek demigod Agamemnon, who aided the Hulk during his time leading the group. Named after the mythological Greek heroine, she serves as one of the Pantheon's skilled warriors.
Few characters arrive with as much mythic weight as Atalanta, who made her striking debut in The Incredible Hulk #376 in 1990, courtesy of the legendary creative team of Peter David and Dale Keown. A product of Marvel's Copper Age, she's woven into the fabric of two very different corners of the Marvel Universe through her affiliations with both the Pantheon and the U-Foes, a range that speaks to a genuinely complex place in the publisher's history. Her adventures unfold alongside the likes of Bruce Banner, Hulk, Ulysses, and Hector, keeping her firmly embedded in some of Marvel's most compelling ensemble storytelling across titles like The Incredible Hulk, Maestro: War and Pax, and Marvel Comics Presents. With a publishing presence stretching all the way from 1990 to 2023, Atalanta is a Copper Age original with real staying power β the kind of character that rewards the curious collector who digs a little deeper.
