Maestro: War and Pax #1

That face filling the entire cover — the Maestro's scarred green visage, skull-and-crossbones glowing in his eyes and white beard bristling with menace — is a striking opening statement for Peter David's War & Pax arc, with interior art by Javier Pina and colors by Jesus Aburtov. Dale Keown's cover work captures the cracked, battle-worn ferocity of this future Hulk tyrant with an intensity that's hard to look away from. If the subtitle "Veni" (Latin for "I came") is any indication, the Maestro is arriving somewhere new — and it probably won't end well for whoever's already there.
