Amos Fortune
Amos Fortune is a DC villain and self-styled master of luck who uses a device to manipulate probability, turning good fortune against his enemies. He became a recurring foe of the Justice League of America, using his luck-based schemes to challenge its assembled heroes.
A Silver Age schemer born in 1961 from the creative minds of Jack Schiff and Lee Elias, Amos Fortune has haunted DC's corridors for over six decades β a testament to the staying power of a truly memorable antagonist. He made his entrance in Secret Origins #1, which is about as auspicious a debut as the Silver Age could offer, and quickly found himself tangling with some of DC's mightiest, sharing pages with the likes of Green Lantern, The Flash, Batman, Hal Jordan, and Green Arrow. Justice League of America is his primary stomping ground, meaning this is a villain who has always punched at the highest weight class. Sixteen appearances spread across 64 years may be a selective rΓ©sumΓ©, but when your career is defined by going up against DC's finest, quality of company counts for everything.
