DCU: Legacies #4
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe cover of DCU: Legacies #4 delivers on its headline promise — "The Next Generation Has Arrived!" — with a confident lineup of DC's silver-age successors rendered beautifully by penciler José Luis García-López and inker Dave Gibbons. Robin leads the group at the front, flanked by a crouching Kid Flash and Wonder Girl, while Robotman, a young man in a red-and-blue costume, Batgirl, and Speedy fill out the ensemble behind them. Len Wein's 10-part saga through DC history continues here, with a backup story spotlighting "Our Army at War" rounding out this October 2010 issue.

Paul Lincoln recalls how the return of the mystery men included many heroes taking on apprentices, the proliferation of super-villains, Green Arrow and The Atom joining the JLA, new kinds of heroes like the Metal Men and the Doom Patrol, the teaming of the kid sidekicks as the Teen Titans, and the return from retirement of the JSA. But for him the death of the Doom Patrol marked the end of the Silver Age and the beginning of a darker time.
