About the series
During its brief, eight-issue run from 1940 to 1942, Fox Publications introduced readers to Gary Preston, the costumed vigilante known as The Flame. Though the series was short-lived, it featured early work from comics legend Will Eisner, with art duties handled by a rotating team including Arturo Cazeneuve, Larry Antonette, and Chuck Winter.
