Racket Squad in Action
Charlton · 1952–1958 · 29 issues
About the series
From 1952 to 1958, Charlton Comics brought the crime-fighting exploits of the Racket Squad to newsstands, with Joe Gill, Carl Memling, and Walter Gibson scripting most of the 29 issues. Artists Dick Giordano, Bill Molno, and Frank Frollo visualized the gritty, procedural takedowns of con artists and swindlers, often inspired by real-life police methods. A durable entry in Charlton's crime-comics line, Racket Squad in Action offered readers a steady dose of hardboiled justice during the mid-century boom of law-enforcement titles.
