The Racket Squad investigates a model agency racket where a crooked operator named Max uses acid to scar models' faces, forcing them to pay him protection money out of fear. When one traumatized model keeps having nightmares and cannot endure the extortion, she turns over her diary to the Racket Squad, providing the evidence needed to break the case. In a second story, the Squad pursues a uranium swindle involving con men who approach a man planning to start a new business in Alaska, promising him riches from uranium deposits and ultimately defrauding him of thousands of dollars before the authorities can intervene.
