About the series
In the late '80s and through the '90s, Semic S.A. published this 102-issue French-language series that reimagined the cosmic adventures of Nova, weaving in frequent appearances by Le Surfer d'Argent and other Marvel stalwarts like Johnny Storm, La Chose, and L'Araignée. With a rotating creative team led by writers Gerry Conway, Tom DeFalco, and Ron Marz, and artists Sal Buscema, Ron Lim, and Paul Ryan, the run offered a distinctive European take on interstellar heroics. It stands as a notable example of how international publishers adapted and expanded upon American superhero lore for their own audiences.
