Nova #169
In "70 millions d'années avant J. C. !", Nova finds himself caught in a cosmic ruse when the Space Phantom stages a clash between the Outlaws and the Avengers—only to be captured and reveal he's acting under orders from a hidden master. The true architect behind the chaos is soon unveiled as Calculus of the Young Gods, whose grand design hinges on the Avengers and Spidey confronting a swarm of cannibal insects. Written by Gerry Conway and illustrated by Sal Buscema with inks by Sal Buscema and colors by Bob Sharen, this 1992 issue features a striking cover by Walter Simonson.
In "... Le calcul final," the Outlaws clash with the Avengers in a battle staged by a masquerading Space Phantom, who claims to serve a hidden master. When captured, he reveals his orders came from Calculus of the Young Gods—a twist that reorients the conflict toward a larger, unseen design, with Spidey and the Avengers caught in a web far beyond their understanding.
