Jeanie Comics

Marvel’s Jeanie Comics (1947–1949) was a lively 15-issue humor and romance series centered on the misadventures of Jeanie Johnson and her circle—including best friend Cindy Smith, love interest Chuck Rivers, and the comedic couple Margie and Joe Martin. Written primarily by Stan Lee and illustrated by a rotating team of artists like Al Jaffee, Dan DeCarlo, and Ken Bald, the book captured the lighthearted, post-war teen sensibility that would define much of Marvel’s early humor output. Though short-lived, it’s a charming snapshot of the era’s slice-of-life storytelling and a key early credit for several legendary creators.
