Jeanie, the self-proclaimed "Queen of the Teens," is in fine form on this 1948 cover, riding a wind-powered ice boat across a snowy landscape while cheerfully complimenting Jeff on his steering — even as poor Jeff has apparently been launched off the back and is tumbling across the ice near a "Danger" sign. Dan DeCarlo's crisp, lively linework gives the whole scene an irresistible energy, capturing Jeanie's breezy confidence in her snug red snowsuit against the wintry backdrop. It's a charming snapshot of mid-century teen humor comics at their most fun.
