About the series
In the early 1970s, Williams brought a Danish twist to the Spider-Man mythos with Edderkoppen, a 13-issue series that reprinted classic American tales from the pens of Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Steve Ditko, among others. Anchored by the foundational artwork of Ditko and Gil Kane, this short-lived run introduced Danish readers to the wall-crawler's formative adventures, bridging the gap between the character's US origins and a new European audience. Though brief, it stands as a notable artifact of Marvel's international licensing push, preserving the energy of Lee and Ditko's original vision for a foreign market.
