Edderkoppen #5/1974
In "Bare en mand, der hedder Cage!", a former convict delves into a professor’s radical idea about hidden worlds within television screens, only to find the theory terrifyingly real when a rift opens—pulling through a dangerous foe from his past seeking retribution. Written by Stan Lee and Larry Lieber, with art by Don Heck and inks by Don Heck, this 1974 issue blends suspense and sci-fi intrigue, all framed by the dynamic cover by John Romita and Tony Mortellaro.
Jo, a man with a past, answers a professor’s strange call about a hidden world inside television sets—only to find the door open when a long-lost enemy claws through from the other side.
In the prehistoric past, a mutant caveman flees his tribe through dark tunnels, finding refuge behind a roaring waterfall—where he feeds on sound itself. Eons later, when the waterfall dries, he erupts into the modern world, a pulsating mass hiding in an abandoned house in the woods, starving for noise. A hippie couple stumbles upon his hiding place, unaware of the creature that hungers for sound—until the girl opens her mouth.
