Over the course of 14 issues from 1953 to 1955, Trojan Magazines’ Beware delivered a steady stream of eerie, twist-laden horror and suspense tales. Key contributors Richard Kahn, Jay Disbrow, and Jesse Merlan penned the majority of the scripts, while artists Henry Kiefer, Art Gates, and Disbrow brought the chills to life with moody, atmospheric visuals. A solid entry in the pre-Code horror boom, the series is remembered for its unflinching, often grim storytelling before the Comics Code Authority tightened the reins.
