# Tales of Mystery: Beware #14 This anthology issue contains three distinct stories. "The Mummy Master" follows a man who discovers an ancient curse when a mystical case opens by itself, unleashing a supernatural force that cannot be stopped by bullets; he escapes a burning building with a girl named Sandra after the sorcerer Sarazin's spell is broken. "The Sorcerer" features John Stern, a scholar who answers a mysterious advertisement and is hired by a wrinkled old man possessing black magic powers to work on a dead man; Stern investigates a strange isolated house and discovers the old man's secret involves raising the dead. "Daughter of Doom" depicts a spy named Hugo Craig who sold information to both sides of a conflict; at the climax, trapped by a woman whose true identity he cannot discover, he is threatened with supernatural doom when she warns he has opened the doorway to Hades itself.
