In "Iron-Head," a fugitive grave robber and murderer named Bronson takes a job as a deep-sea diver aboard a private yacht owned by Mr. Nash. After discovering a cache of black diamonds on the ocean floor, he sabotages the ship and escapes into the depths, determined to claim the treasure for himself. Stranded on a remote island, he is mistaken by the superstitious natives as a water god, given the name "Iron-Head," and worshipped for his silence and strange, helmeted form. As hunger weakens him and the villagers remain ever-watchful, Bronson must decide how long he can maintain the illusion before the truth is revealed.
