Wonderworld Comics #15

In 1940's "The Valley of Terror," the superhero Flame and Marie D'Arne infiltrate the dreaded Valley of Terror to rescue Marie's father, Dr. D'Arne, a surgeon imprisoned by the mad scientist Dr. Belos—who is forcing him to help transform captives into monstrous Vulture Men to rule the world. Trapped and separated as Belos tightens his grip, Flame must fight through the creature guardians and find a way to stop the sanitarium before the doctor's twisted experiments claim more victims.

Newsreel reporter Patty O'Day and her colleague Ham land right in the middle of a convict uprising on Devil's Island when they fly in to capture photos of the rebellion—only to discover that a traitor named Lord Mike is orchestrating the mutiny as part of an enemy plot to cripple France's navy. Patty and Ham must find a way to expose the scheme and get word to the French fleet before it's too late.

When Don Quixote and Sancho crash a swanky masquerade ball in modern times, the would-be knight stumbles from one comedic mishap to another—tangling with a doorman, spinning across the dance floor with a mysterious lady, and generally causing havoc in his inimitable style. In true Wonderworld fashion, chaos and swing music collide as Don Quixote finds himself unexpectedly in the spotlight at this glamorous 1940 costume party.
