Wonder Woman by George Pérez #2
In "Swan Song," George Pérez delivers a powerful chapter of Wonder Woman’s journey as Diana is captured and brought to the island of Aeaea by Circe’s beasts. With the goddess Hecate’s influence looming, Circe prepares a spell to undo Diana’s very essence—only for Julia and the rebels to arrive, disrupting the plan just in time. The story unfolds with emotional weight and mythic stakes, illustrated with precision by Pérez and McLaughlin, and colored with depth by Carl Gafford. The cover, a striking piece by Pérez, captures the moment’s tension in bold, expressive lines.

Wonder Woman is subdued and taken to the island of Aeaea by Circe's beasts. There, Circe explains how she had made an alliance with the goddess Hecate in order to take revenge on those who wronged her and sow the seeds of distrust between men and women. Circe sees Diana and her mission as a threat to that cause and prepares a spell to revert Diana to the clay from which she was formed. However, Julia and the rebels storm Circe's lair and delay Circe just enough for divine intervention to put an end to her schemes.
