Howard Mackie had joined Web of Spider-Man as ongoing writer beginning with issue #84 (January 1992), and #91 falls squarely within his early tenure steering the title. Alex Saviuk, who had been the series' primary penciler for years, handled both interior art and cover duties, maintaining visual continuity immediately after the oversized anniversary spectacular of #90. Editor Danny Fingeroth shepherded the issue under Editor-in-Chief Tom DeFalco, consistent with the Spider-Man editorial structure of the period.
