Warlord of Mars: Dejah Thoris #3
In "Issue Eleven: Whispers in the Dark," Dejah Thoris is found alone on a remote island in the Toonolian Marshes by Kantos Kan, unaware that she’s been taken over by the malevolent Boora Witch. As the witch begins to exert control over Dejah’s body, subtle shifts in her behavior unsettle those who know her best. Meanwhile, under cover of night, the Boora Witch secretly meets with Than Kosis, one of Helium’s most dangerous rivals—setting a dangerous game in motion. Written by Robert Place Napton and illustrated by Carlos Rafael, with colors by Carlos Lopez and letters by Marshall Dillon, this issue’s haunting atmosphere is perfectly captured in a cover by Paul Renaud.
