Wolverine charges straight out of a wall of fire on Adam Kubert's visceral cover for this concluding chapter of "Return of the King" — claws fully extended on both hands, expression set with pure fury, the X-Men's black-and-yellow uniform catching the light of the blaze behind him. It's a fittingly intense image to cap off a seven-part arc, and with Mark Millar writing and Kubert on interior art alongside inker Danny Miki, this 2003 Marvel series was firing on all cylinders at this stage.
