The fourth chapter of "The Iron Noose" arrives with a cover that makes an immediate, visceral impression — a blood-drenched, monstrous creature looms over a darkened frontier building while a bare-chested rider struggles to control a terrified horse beneath a cold, star-scattered sky. Valerio Giangiordano's cover linework is richly detailed, and Bill Crabtree's coloring deepens the dread with that sickly contrast of crimson gore against pale moonlit flesh. John Arcudi's supernatural Western continues to feel like one of Image's most genuinely unsettling series of 2021.
