Two Moons #5

The cover of Two Moons #5 presents a striking, blood-spattered lone figure — back turned to us, blade in hand — standing defiantly before a surging horde of snarling, red-eyed monsters of every grotesque shape imaginable. Giangiordano's linework gives the creatures genuine menace, from fanged beasts to horned abominations pressing forward out of a crimson-tinged darkness, and Crabtree's moody color work makes the whole image feel oppressively dangerous. If this penultimate chapter of "The Iron Noose" arc is any indication from its cover alone, Arcudi and company are building toward something genuinely unsettling.
