September 1966 brings a barn-brawl showdown to the pages of Marvel's Two-Gun Kid, as the masked Kid grapples hand-to-hand with a green-jacketed opponent in the hay while a whip cracks and gunmen clash in the background. The cover — penciled and inked by Dick Ayers — teases the arrival of Durango, a whip-and-gun villain bent on plundering Tombstone, and boldly promises nothing less than the unmasking of the Two-Gun Kid himself. It's a covers-only Western with real stakes on display, and at 12 cents it was one of Marvel's more action-packed saddle-up reads of the year.
