☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis ninth volume collects more of the irreverent, toy-photo comic strips from Wizard's ToyFare magazine, featuring action figures in absurd, pop-culture spoofs. It includes installments from the series' run in the late 2000s, showcasing the signature blend of humor and custom photography that defined the feature.
In "VW Beetle Bailey," a surreal twist on the classic adventure, Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, Mr. Fantastic, Franklin Richards, and Professor Xavier find themselves stranded on a mysterious island with strange magical properties after receiving unexplained free tickets to Hawaii. When Franklin vanishes, the team sets out to find him—only to be captured by Alan Moore, who leads them to the exiled Megos, a group of renegade characters banished from Megoville over copyright disputes and now ruled by Dr. Doom. The story unfolds with unexpected turns and meta-commentary, all written by Zach Oat, Justin Aclin, Jon Gutierrez, Ward, and Collins, and features a cover by Ward.
Don Blake panics when he can’t find his cane, only to realize Jane Foster is more upset about his priorities than the missing cane itself. With the Wrecker on the loose and no cane to stop him, Don’s medical credentials might not be enough to save the day.
