Twisted Toyfare Theatre #10

Jan 2009 · Wizard Entertainment · 12.99 USD; 12.99 CAD

In Twisted Toyfare Theatre #10, a gag-packed convention of Marvel's most notorious villains takes center stage, where Baron Zemo orchestrates a chaotic game of identity swaps to confuse their heroic foes. From Doc Ock devouring mints to Red Skull and Batroc squabbling over Captain America’s true nemesis, the villains’ antics take a sharp turn when they end up battling each other—except for Xemnu, who slips away. Written by Pat McCallum, Zach Oat, Justin Aclin, Jon Gutierrez, and Chris Ward, this 2009 satire blends absurd humor with a clever twist on villain dynamics, all captured in a vibrant cover by the series' regular artist.

The Marvel villains arrive at the "Act of Vengeance" Convention. Doc Ock gorges himself on mints, Red Skull and Hate-Monger avoid the elevator car with black people, and M.O.D.O.K. and Magneto check their henchmen. Baron Zemo leads the convention. The point is for the villains to trade who they fight to confuse the superheroes. The villains without archenemies spin a wheel while those with one choose from Ringmaster's hat. Red Skull and Batroc argue over who is Captain America's archenemy. The villains all end up fighting each other and are arrested, except for Xemnu.
