Toyfare: The Toy Magazine #39
In a delightfully absurd twist, Doom convenes a villain summit only to find his peers completely disinterested—until Mephisto drops in with a fiery warning about eternal damnation. The ensuing chaos sees even the most notorious rogues taking surprisingly heroic turns: Red Skull feeds the homeless, Doom constructs shelters, Kang helps May Parker cross the street (with tragic consequences), Venom dismantles a tech empire, and even the Green Goblin meets an unexpected end—only for the whole scenario to unravel when hell itself gets a corporate takeover. Written by Pat McCallum, Tom Root, and Douglas Goldstein, with art, inks, and colors by Paul Schiraldi, this surreal satire blends superhero chaos with a wink at the absurdity of villainy and redemption.
