Tomb of Dracula #58
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis July 1977 issue puts vampire hunter Blade front and center in a "very special" solo spotlight, and the cover by Gene Colan and Tom Palmer makes the stakes feel genuinely enormous. Blade, blade in hand, lunges directly at a massive, looming Dracula whose sweeping cape nearly engulfs the entire image, while a pair of snarling vampires below clutch a helpless victim — perfectly capturing the cover's promise of "one man against a legion of deadly vampires." Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan were at the height of their celebrated run on this title in 1977, and an issue centering Blade as the lone warrior against Dracula's undead horde is exactly the kind of confident, atmospheric storytelling that made Tomb of Dracula Marvel's premier horror series of the era.
