When Spike and Tyke's mistress plants a pussy willow tree in the backyard, Tyke fears that the tree will "[sprout] a mess of cats". Prankster Hogan sees this as a way to foist the kittens that share his yard on Spike and Tyke, by planting the kitties on the tree.
