Professor Putter has played his favorite soothing record so often that the phonograph needle has worn through to the flip side containing a raucous cacophony. Fortunately, his robot Herman has retained the tranquil melody in his memory banks and can hum the tune accurately - but without the familiar sounds of musical instruments. So, the professor builds a device that can convert Herman's humming into the sound of a full symphony orchestra... but has he thought of everything?
