When a canteen-wielding drifter named Tim O'Brien encounters trouble with bandits, he dons his red mask disguise and battles the outlaws. The narrative escalates when Apaches, led by Tiswin and led into darkness by war drums, become involved in the conflict. Colonel Deegan at Fort Danger sends Redmask on a dangerous mission involving a train and a federal prisoner, setting up a climactic confrontation where Redmask must outwit both the Apaches and the soldiers pursuing him.
When the daring outlaw Skullhead issues a challenge to Redmask, the Black Phantom seizes the chance to prove herself to Sheriff Gage by taking on the job alone—only to find herself captured and held hostage in a remote cabin. Now Redmask must rescue her from Skullhead's trap while facing down the skeletal robber's pair of loaded sixguns with nothing but his wits to rely on.
A hotheaded young man with dreams bigger than his frame gets a glimpse of the Ghost Rider in action and becomes obsessed with becoming his partner—so he throws himself into grueling preparation, determined to prove himself worthy when the masked vigilante returns. When a chance encounter with an outlaw gives Tim a lead on a dangerous gang's hideout, he finally sees his shot at teaming up with the Ghost Rider, but Ella's thoughtless warning plants a terrible seed in his impulsive mind. The stage is set for a collision between ambition and desperation that neither Tim nor his guardian could have predicted.
When bank robbers tear through the town of Bullet, Deputy Sheriff Tim Holt pursues them into the desert—but not before transforming into the masked avenger Redmask. A humble canteen, inadvertently grabbed during the outlaws' escape, becomes the unlikely key to tracking them across the unforgiving landscape. Caught between a wounded prospector, poisoned water, and a clever trap set at a salt-tainted spring, Redmask closes in on the gang in a standoff where one misstep could prove fatal.
When the Army captures Apache war chief Tall Feather, hostile tribes mobilize across the frontier—and Colonel Deegan sends the masked rider Redmask on a desperate mission to reach the railroad town of Freedom with news of the prisoner transport before the Apaches can intercept it. But Redmask faces deadly opposition from both the Apache warriors hunting him through the canyons and Peg Mason, a vengeful woman determined to kill Tall Feather herself to avenge her slain brothers. Caught between two threats and torture at every turn, Redmask must ride hard to deliver his message and prevent a catastrophic prison break.
