☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeTim Holt pursues outlaws who have stolen his bronc, tracking them into the Rocky hills where he discovers they are working with the notorious Jenkins gang. Meanwhile, "The Ghost Rider" story features a supernatural tale involving a cursed playing card—the Ace of Death—that kills anyone it touches, with a river gambler named Farnsworth using marked cards on a riverboat until the card's curse strikes him down. In a parallel Tim Holt subplot, his sister Jicarilla enlists Helen's help, and Helen volunteers to pose as the Black Phantom to infiltrate the Jenkins gang and gather evidence against them while Tim recovers from his wounds.
When a rival Kiowa chieftain called Dog Running threatens young Chulilillo's leadership with a horrifying torture device—a massive hide rattle suspended over a canyon and filled with boulders—Tim Holt must rescue his old friend from certain death. Trapped inside the deadly contraption alongside Chulilillo and another captive, Redmask faces a nightmarish ordeal as the rattle swings wildly, with only his wits and his knife standing between him and a gruesome end. This 1954 tale pits the masked hero against both Dog Running's treachery and an ingenious instrument of terror.
Redmask pursues the villainous Kiowa Kid across the desert after the outlaw escapes with a stash of stolen gold—and he's riding the only horse that can catch him. But when the Kid reaches the Rio Grande and safety just beyond, Redmask must rely on his most trusted ally to bring his quarry back across the border. A tense chase across unforgiving terrain tests whether greed or justice will have the final word.
The Ghost Rider faces off against Fast Deal Farnsworth, a riverboat gambler who uses marked cards—especially the deadly Ace of Death—to cheat innocent men out of their fortunes. When a cowhand loses $50,000 that belongs to the ranchers of Lost Bone Valley, the masked avenger challenges Farnsworth to a high-stakes game with justice on the line. The Ghost Rider must outwit a cunning cheater who's willing to go to deadly lengths to keep his ill-gotten gains hidden.
When a bank robbery by Claw Jenkins and his gang leaves Deputy Sheriff Tim Holt wounded, he calls on the Black Phantom—a former outlaw turned would-be lawwoman—to track down the thieves. But as the Black Phantom lies fevered in her boarding house, her twin sister Jicarilla makes a dangerous decision: to don the mask and the guns in her place, despite having never fired a weapon in her life. As mistaken identities spiral into a deadly game of cat and mouse in the Lost Indian Hills, both the real Black Phantom and the masked gunslinger known as Redmask find themselves caught between Claw Jenkins's ruthless gang and the truth that could unravel everything.
