Part five of the "New World Order" arc arrives with a tense, close-quarters cover by Charlie Adlard — a blonde, braided figure grits her teeth as a rifle barrel is pressed against the side of her head, while a katana rests across her shoulder, hinting at both the danger she faces and the resolve she carries. The shadowy composition keeps the threat just out of full view, which gives the image a genuinely unsettling edge. Kirkman, Adlard, Gaudiano, and Rathburn are deep into one of the series' most ambitious storylines, and this penultimate chapter looks poised to deliver.
