“The Five Lights Part Two: Velocidad”

Part two of Matt Fraction and Whilce Portacio's "The Five Lights" arc, this 2010 issue features a striking cover by Terry and Rachel Dodson that places Emma Frost and Colossus in a tense, almost cinematic embrace — her white gown flowing as he steadies her with his steel-grey hands, while an enormous, coiled tentacle looms ominously in the background. The contrast between the elegance of the two figures and that lurking threat gives the image a genuinely unsettling romantic tension. It's a beautifully composed cover that captures the drama simmering through this era of the X-Men.
