The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #37

Few things stop readers in their tracks quite like a coffin being carried at a Marvel funeral — especially when the title card asks "The Death of the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl??" with those telling double question marks. The cover depicts a solemn procession of mourners including Iron Man, a hippo in a suit, and a wild-haired figure at the front bearing the draped, flower-adorned casket, surrounded by grieving and bewildered faces. It's a wonderfully absurd and heartfelt image from 2018, with North, Charm, and Renzi delivering exactly the kind of dramatic-yet-playful energy this series does so well.
