The Stand: The Night Has Come #3
Stephen King's apocalyptic saga continues with this third installment of The Night Has Come, the concluding arc of Marvel's six-part adaptation. Tomm Coker's cover art sets a genuinely unsettling tone — a gaunt, hollow-eyed figure in tattered clothing looms over yellow hazard barrels marked "DANGER," a chain-link fence stretched behind him under a sickly green-yellow sky that feels equal parts plague and dread. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Mike Perkins bring King's vision to the page with the kind of care this story deserves, and Laura Martin's color work gives the whole issue an eerie, poisoned atmosphere that lingers well after you set it down.
