The Stand: The Night Has Come #2
This second installment of the six-part finale to Marvel's adaptation of Stephen King's The Stand carries a cover by Tomm Coker that is all tension and shadow — a dark-haired figure grips a white-haired woman whose face is thrown back in an expression somewhere between ecstasy and anguish, ghostly smoke curling around them both against a deep, unsettling darkness. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Mike Perkins continue translating King's epic vision, with Laura Martin's moody color work giving the whole image a sickly, ominous warmth that perfectly suits the subtitle The Night Has Come.
