The Stand #2

This volume collects the second half of Marvel's 2011 comic adaptation of Stephen King's epic post-apocalyptic novel. Picking up after the devastating superflu has wiped out most of humanity, the story follows the surviving characters as they are drawn into the final conflict between the forces of good, led by Mother Abagail, and the evil Randall Flagg, who is building his own dark empire in the American West. The collection adapts the novel's middle chapters, focusing on the journey of the protagonists to Boulder, Colorado, and the escalating nightmares that plague them as the war between the two camps begins to take shape.
